Heavy rains expected later today and tonight with flood conditions increasing
 

Recently the children at Little Lambs Learning Center in Lincoln participated in the center's annual Bike-a-Thon for St. Jude Children's Hospital. The center has been holding the Trike-A-Thon for the past 11 years, raising a total of $13,000 for St. Jude. This year the group was able to donate $1,260 to the hospital.

Recently teachers from the Sangamon, Menard, Logan and Mason County school districts were invited to attend the Ag in the Classroom Summer Ag Institute tours. The teachers attended a four-day workshop that included traveling to various farms and agriculture-related businesses in their region. Pictured above is the group of participants including Amanda Gray, first grade teacher at Olympia Elementary and Nikki Renken, second grade teacher at Adams School in Lincoln. The photo was taken at Roy Seaney's Produce Stand in Tallula. Seaney also has a sweet corn patch and greenhouse at the same location.
