At
the Monday evening voting session of the Lincoln
City Council, the evening began with four aldermen
taking their oath of office. Ward 1 Alderman Scott
Cooper, Ward 2 Alderwoman Michelle Bauer, Ward 3
Alderman Todd Mourning and Ward 4 Alderwoman Marty
Neitzel were sworn into new four-year terms by city
attorney Blinn Bates.
Of the four, Bauer, Cooper, and Mourning were
appointees by former Mayor Keith Snyder. For those
three this is their first elected term in office. On
the other hand, Marty Neitzel is the longest sitting
member of the council, having been re-elected to
office several times.
