On Tuesday evening, the Lincoln Historic Preservation Commission considered a request for a replacement awning for Simply Homespun, a business located in downtown Lincoln, formerly the location for Mission Mart. While not opposed to an awning, the Commission did reject the design submitted and offered some guidance on what would be acceptable to maintain the overall continuity of the look of the downtown shopping district.

The Parliamentary Procedure team took home the Gold recently at the FCCLA State Conference held in Springfield. Pictured here are First Vice-President Clayton Lindley, TJ Benhart, Brady Coppinger, Garret Johnston, Eli Olson and Brady Walsh. The Parliamentary Procedure team, including Sam Koehl who is not pictured, took 1st place in the competition and will advance to the 2015 National Leadership Conference in Washington DC July 3-10.
