A
few weeks ago this
was a vacant store front in poor condition. Today,
it is a new business space in Lincoln. The property
at 515 Broadway is being renovated in compliance
with the guidelines of the Lincoln Historic
Preservation Commission and is now open as an Edward
Jones office. The property has also been the topic
of much discussion among the members of the Lincoln
City Council. A grant application for TIF funding
for the facade improvements was filed with the city
in February. Though the council appears to be in
favor of granting the request, the language of the
application document has become a stumbling block in
the process. The Council is now working to create a
new document that will apply specifically to facade
grants. Learn more about the TIF process and the new
grant application in today's edition of Lincoln
Daily News.
