Wednesday morning at the Logan County Fair, the
Irwin sisters dominated the 4-H dairy show with
Sarah winning Grand Champion Heifer and Dawn winning
the Grand Champion Cow. Sarah's plaque was sponsored
by Phil Willson, Atlanta Ag Center and Dawn's plaque
was given by Prairie Farms. In the Senior
Showmanship category, the trophy was given by Irwindale Farms, with Sarah Irwin being the winner.
Also finishing well in showmanship was Walker Allen.
Allen has been showing dairy for three years. He
noted that his family raises beef cattle, but he has
chosen to raise and show dairy. Also showing dairy
this year, and taking home several blue ribbons were
Laura Rankin and Charlotte Toohill.

Wednesday night in front of the grandstand was 4-H night
at the Logan County Fair. The evening was highlighted by
the 4-H scrambles, along with the judging of last year's
Scramble calves, and recognition of the 4-H scholarship
winners.
As always, scramble night is a very popular event at the
fair with a large number of children coming to
participate and a good crowd turning out to watch.
