The LCHS Railette Competitive Dance Team qualified for the Illinois Drill Team Association's State Competition this past Saturday, February 6th. The State Competition will be held this Saturday, February 13th, at the Prairie Capital Convention Center in Springfield. The team will be competing against schools from across the state in the AA Pom/Dance Category.

	Spring is just 37 days away, and with a flock of robins taking up residency in downtown Lincoln, that must surely be a good sign. In spite of the extreme cold this week, we've had a mild winter with not a whole lot of snow.

For those who are counting, it snowed this past Monday and Tuesday. Those two days became snowfall days number ten and 11. If our old wives tale is to prove true for this winter, there will be 11 more snow events between now and warm weather. And, according to the local weather reports, we could have three of those between now and Monday.
