On Wednesday morning, the 8th grade Accelerated Language Arts class at Lincoln Junior High School, accompanied by their teacher Tina Workman, paid a visit to Central School in Lincoln. The students were there to present a gift to the Central School third-graders, a book, written by the eighth-graders in honor of Black History Month. The eighth-graders were matched up with their younger counterparts, and then sat to read the book to them.

On Friday This year the Mount Pulaski schools are working to recognize staff and faculty that go above and beyond to serve the students in the grade school and high school by naming a Support Staff of the Semester, as well as an Educator of the Quarter.

The Support Staff of the Semester is cook Sue Reeter of the Nutrition Department at Mount Pulaski High School. Reeter is pictured with the student who nominated her, sophomore Jacob Mileham.

Also pictured is the Educator of the Quarter, Barbara Lindley. She is the Elementary Special Education teacher at Mount Pulaski Grade School.

This past weekend, Trey Schilling, a fourth-grader from West Lincoln-Broadwell, qualified for, competed in, and secured a second-place finish at the State Elks Hoop Shoot competition held in Decatur.
