Vehicles
as far as the eye could see on Postville
Drive Saturday morning attested to the
need being answered by the Logan County
Joint Solid Waste Agency and the city of
Lincoln. Cars and trucks, some
with as many as five old televisions and
worn out computer monitors lined the
street from the car wash on the north
end, past the Logan County Fairgrounds
and Christian Homes, all the way south
to Fifth Street. Traffic also wound
through the fairgrounds from the west,
north to the livestock barns then south
again to the east gate where volunteers
took the items to be disposed of and
loaded them into semi trailers.
