LDN -- Top Stories

Dr. Dennis Campbell (left) of the Creekside Environmental Center at Lincoln College and artist Moses Pinkerton share a symbolic hug then a hearty handshake on Thursday morning. The occasion was the installation of a wood sculpture by Pinkerton entitled "Nature's Embrace" at the center. Pinkerton gifted the piece to the center. Carved from one large log, the sculpture weight over 1,000 pounds and stands over eight feet tall. The center is hollowed out, and arms are extended, allowing for a person to actually slip inside the embrace.
