The awards ceremony began with Chris Graue, one of
the event organizers recognizing the many sponsors who make the
event possible and the many committee members who spend months
planning it.
The Kid’s Q winners in the age seven-11 category were team ‘TT’ in
second place and ‘Little Nuthatch Hill’ in first place.
For the age 12-15 category, ‘Redwood’ placed third, ‘Grills Gone
Wild’ second and ‘Hoosier Railer’ first.
The Hoosier Railer team also won overall top prize.
Backyard BBQ winners
Placing first for chicken in the Backyard BBQ was
‘Double D’s BBQ.’
For ribs, ‘Smoke, Fire and Brew’ placed first.
KCBS winners
In the chicken category, ‘Captains Ron’s Brew and Que’
placed third,
‘IBqing at the BBQ Superstore.com’ placed second, while
‘Twisted Smoke BBQ’ placed first.
In the pork and ribs category:
‘Que U’ placed third.
‘Aw Hell’ placed second.
‘Squishy Smoking Hot Racks’ placed first.
