On hand to celebrate the event was Kay Anderson,
owner of Serenity Now; Shay Barger, Danielle Meister, Brett Robison
and Liz Hays, owners of HeadLines Salon; Seth Goodman - owner, Diane
Schriber - Managing Broker, Caroline McMath - former owner and all
the realtors and staff of ME Realty. Also joining in the group was
Don Peasley, Penny Thomas and Theresa Moore representing Logan
County, Peggy Bateman, Bob Dunovsky, Beth Kavelman, Kathy Horn and
Tracy Welch representing the city. Also on hand was Jeff Horn,
Kathie Williams of Small Town Creations, and Karen Hargis, Roy Logan
and Nila Smith of Lincoln Daily News.
For the ribbon cutting ceremony, Carolyn McMath was included up
front and center as a former owner of ME Realty and the person who
owned the business the longest to date.
As everyone gathered outside the ME Realty end of the
building, owners were given the opportunity to speak. First up was
Anderson. Anderson said she wanted to thank everyone who came out to
help the businesses celebrate. She also wanted to extend a thank you
to all those who have supported her over the last several years in
her business and said she was looking forward to a long lasting
relationship in the community.

Carolyn McMath spoke next saying she was excited to be included in
the cut and very happy for Goodman and the ME Realtors and staff in
their new location.
Goodman spoke then saying that “ME Realty has come a
long way since 1983, so it has been in Logan County for a long time.
It is an honor and privilege to own the agency, and I owe a lot to
Carolyn for all she did to build the agency.”
Goodman went on to say that it had not been his intention to move
the agency, but when the building came available it just all fell
together. He thanked his staff for their support in the move.
Tracy Welch was called upon to speak on behalf of the city of
Lincoln. He said that Lincoln and Logan County were blessed to have
the three businesses. Welch noted that this was a return to his past
because the building had been Graue Pharmacy, which was the first
place where Welch worked.
McMath manned the scissors for ME Realty and was
joined by Liz Hays and Kay Anderson. With the count down the three
ladies did the honors of cutting the triple strand of red ribbon.

Everyone was then invited back inside to enjoy cake
or another sweet treat and take a tour of the entire building.
For the ME realtors and staff it was time to get back
to work, so several grabbed a quick snack then headed back to their
offices.
The French doors between ME and HeadLines offered a
pass through into the salon where the owners chatted with guests.
At the far end, Anderson was giving chair massages
free for the event and a few people took advantage of that
opportunity as well.
Congratulations to all three businesses on their move.
