LDN -- Top Stories

While the Guinness world record for the most Abraham Lincoln look-a-likes in one place at one time was not broken this weekend, the event held Saturday in downtown Lincoln was a fun and exciting time. More than 75 look-a-likes gathered on the lawn of the historic Logan County Courthouse for an 'official' picture. Before gathering for the photo the many Lincolns enjoyed visiting with each other and having a good time comparing costumes.

On Saturday, the 49th Railsplitter Festival got off to a damp start as the rain came down throughout the morning. While it was damp outside, inside the Postville Courthouse spirits were not dampened and optimism was high that the day would eventually clear up and be good for everyone. Several gathered inside the courthouse for the ribbon cut kicking off the event. As the morning wore on, the rain came and went, but folks still seemed to enjoy the festivities and took advantage of the rainy times to explore activities inside buildings and under tents. When the rain stopped, they ventured out to do more exploring.

LDN will have coverage from the Railsplitter Festival in its Tuesday edition.
