On
Tuesday, May 5, Governor JB Pritzker announced a five-phase path to
full social restoration for the state of Illinois. The ‘Phase’
graphic provided verifies that the state is currently in Phase Two
or the Flattening Phase, which will be in effect at least until the
end of May. We can also note that face coverings and social
distancing will be the norm through Phase Four, which when there is
a vaccine available we’ll enter Phase Five and "conventions,
festivals and large events are permitted."

Four health regions that have
been created using the Illinois Department of Public Health
(IDPH) 11 Emergency Medical Services Regions - Northeast
Illinois; North-Central Illinois; Central Illinois; and
Southern Illinois. Daily metrics of contagion, hospital
beds, supplies and death rates would continue to be
monitored in each region contributing to decision making to
progress or retract though each phase. The full release is

Like it or not, Stay at Home orders are
still in place through the month of May. Looking on the bright side
- you and your children are living through a very historical event
in our lives. Today, create a journal/scrapbook for each of you.
Write down your story of COVID-19 add pictures and art. It will be
something you can share with others for years to come.
It's going to be rainy this week, so
head to the kitchen with the kiddos and have some fun!
