PEORIA,
IL – Congressman Darin LaHood (R-IL) today released the following
statement on the Trump Administration’s decision to provide
automatic coronavirus relief payments for Social Security
beneficiaries.

“I applaud President Trump and his Administration
for acting quickly to ensure Social Security retirement and
disability beneficiaries receive automatic coronavirus relief
payments. Seniors need relief, and this decision will make it easier
for them to receive their checks and eliminate unnecessary
paperwork. This bipartisan fix will make certain those who need
relief get it, and I’ll continue to work with my colleagues on the
Ways and Means Committee to deliver sensible solutions during this
global pandemic.”
