The
Logan/Tazewell/Dewitt Senior Horse Bowl Team took first
place honors at the recent State 4-H contest. Members
from Logan County included Ruthie Ruhl, Kristina Morrow,
and David Morrow. They were joined by Nicholas Larkin
(Tazewell), and Jessica West (Dewitt).
Horse Bowl functions much like a scholastic bowl in a
school setting, emphasizing equine knowledge with youth
competing both individually and on teams. Horse
ownership is not a prerequisite in either the
educational program or contest.
In addition, two local competitors placed in the top 10
individually. Ruthie Ruhl - Topper 4-H Club took first
place and Kristina Morrow - Cloverdale 4-H Club placed
10th.
