On
Monday night, representatives of the
Springfield/Lincoln YMCA came together with Lincoln and
Logan County government members for a ribbon-cutting
ceremony at the Youth Activity Center in Lincoln.
The YMCA has occupied the center on Wyatt Avenue in the
former Oddfellows gymnasium for several years, with an
additional office downtown on Broadway Street.
The YMCA has combined those two locations into one and
has added some new services for the community. The
building has also been refreshed with window
replacements and fresh paint. Adult workout areas are
now offered in the basement of the building as well.
There is currently a membership drive at the YMCA with
some discounts and special offers available. Membership
is open to anyone within the county.
