We have periodic need for sewing work (10-29 hours week), and
these next 2 months are extremely full. We have an industrial
sewing machine (up to 5,000 stitches per minute) so experience
using industrial/commercial sewing machines is a must.
We are very flexible on time of day and which days you want to
work, but we do have shipping deadlines.
Job consists primarily of assembling small decorative gift
pillows. The fronts have already been embroidered and this
position will be responsible for assembling the front, edge
piping, and 2 back pieces.
Expectation is to average 6-7 pillows an hour $15/hr
Primary Responsibilities Sew orders in a timely manner
Completes detailed instructions from job orders accurately and
precisely
Review the Sewing Production Schedule Skills And Specifications
Can work with limited supervision Should have excellent verbal
and written communication skills Ability to manage issues in a
timely manner
Background/Experience/Education Requirements 1-3 years of
industrial sewing experience Experience using
industrial/commercial sewing machines Ability to thread sewing
machines & change needles safely
Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to
read and interpret patterns
Outward thinking and well organized; the ability to display
confidence with the ability to multi-task in an environment of
tight deadlines and shifting priorities The ability to work
cooperatively with internal production teams

Correctional Fiber Optics Instructor
at Logan Correctional Center
Full-time, 12 month, grant funded position
for Lake Land College at Logan Correctional Center, Lincoln, IL.
Responsible for teaching courses and labs in
the Fiber Optics Certificate program. Associate degree
preferred. 3-5 years Fiber Optics/Cabling experience required.
Teaching experience required.
