Wednesday morning, a new business was welcomed to downtown Lincoln. The Title Center opened its 13th branch inside the Farm Bureau Building at 120 South McLean Street celebrating with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Title Center's main office is in Springfield and several members of the Springfield office joined local staff Missy Lock and Ally Twente for the ribbon-cutting event. Afterward guests were invited inside to visit the office and the staff and enjoy some sweet treats.

The day the Internet stood still!

On Wednesday morning at 10am Lincoln Daily News went missing, along with the internet service of a few thousand Central Illinois customers. The cause: someone dug through a main trunk fiber optic cable, bringing communications to a halt. Along with LDN, there would be no Netflix, email, or anything else internet related. Alexa was mute. Service returned before 2am on Friday making it some 40+ hours of "so, what do we do now?"

So, there isn't a regular Thursday edition of LDN, except for this explanation screen. Because it was the day.... the Internet stood still!
