Congratulations
to Lincoln Police Officer Daniel Carr, who was
officially promoted to the rank of Corporal on Monday
evening in front of the Lincoln City Council.
Corporal Carr was sworn into his new rank by City
Attorney John Hoblit with Police Chief Matt Vlahovich
and Assistant Chief Joseph Meiser congratulating him
along with Mayor Tracy Welch and aldermen afterward.

Logan
County was well represented at the Illinois State Fair
this week by several young people showing their
projects.
In the annual Sale of Champions, Ella Bobell, pictured
here showing a barrow at the Logan County Fair on August
3rd, sold her Land of Lincoln Grand Champion Barrow for
a whopping $18,000. The Bayer Corporation purchased the
barrow.
Congratulations to Ella and all the other Logan County
youth who performed well at the Illinois State Fair!
