							As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's

issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

            | To the editor: The Board
members of the Central Illinois Veterans Commission wish to express
our gratitude to all the volunteers, donors and players that helped
make our first golf outing a success.
The event raised enough funds to pay for half of the next veteran
home which will be built in the spring of 2023!

We are deeply grateful to Rick Samuels for guiding us through all
the moving parts needed to make this first outing a success. In
addition, hats off to Jeff Peterson and his staff in preparing the
			Lincoln Elk’s golf course.

Thanks also to the Top of the 19th for working with us to put
together the box lunches and Mother Nature capped it off with
			perfect weather.

[to top of second column in this letter] |

We are looking forward to our second annual golf
outing on September the 15th, 2023.
 Sincerely,
Central Illinois Veterans Commission Board of Directors
