The Monday, October 24th pink shirt pictures come to us from Town and County Bank and the R.W. Garrett Agency in Lincoln. The photos include 11 lovely ladies, all dressed in varying shades of pink.

That brings to mind the fact that various versions of breast cancer exist. The words breast cancer is, in this case, somewhat generic. There are multiple forms, such as ductal carcinoma in situ or DCIS, invasive ductal carcinoma, invasive lobular carcinoma, Triple-negative Breast Cancer, inflammatory breast cancer, Paget disease of the breast, Angiosarcoma, and Phyllodes tumors.

The only way to know what type of breast cancer a warrior is fighting is through proper testing. The good news is that with that testing, the doctor can determine a particular form of treatment that targets the culprit. Specific treatment of the correct type of cancer is crucial to getting the upper hand on the disease.

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed, be sure that the type of cancer is explained thoroughly. Be confident that the doctor is working to target that type of cancer in their treatment of the patient.

The 39th annual Harvest of Talents was held this past Saturday, and it was another huge success. As in the past, the community came together to support the harvest of Talents for World Hunger. When the tally was made, the community raised $103,454.10 for this worthy cause.

On  Saturday afternoon, Logan County Genealogical & Historical Society Board President Bill Donath snipped the ribbon on the grand reopening of the center on Chicago Street in Lincoln.

Before the cut, Donath noted that while the latest closure of the LCG&HS was due to a fire next door to the center several months ago, the center has been closed for almost three years due first to the Coronavirus and then later due to the fire.
