Work has begun at the old Lincoln
Developmental Center where the Illinois Department of
Juvenile Justice will be converting a portion of the
property to a youth detention center.
The work caught in the lens last week included clearing
of many trees on the property. In the bottom right photo
the railroad track is visible on the left side of the
photo. The IDJJ is going to be constructing a new street
along the railroad track while at the same time, doing
away with a street that runs through the property that
will be part of the campus of the detention center.
