Sunday afternoon Todd
Henry hosted a kick off event for the 2024 Workcamp for
Lincoln, bringing together several local guests and one
television celebrity to help promote the home
improvement and repair program that brings teenagers
from around the United States to communities for a week
of hard work.
Those who spoke about the 2021 Workcamp for Lincoln and
encouraged local participation in funding the project
and volunteering to help with the young guests who will
come included from the left, a teenager named Madia that
helped in 2021, Jeff Elsas who helped chaperone in 2021,
Annette Billington, who received services from the 2021
group, HGTV personality Karen E. Laine of the television
show Good Bones, who also came to work with the kids in
2021, Lincoln Pastor Glenn Shelton, Henry, and Breann
Titus of Community Action Partnership of Central
Illinois.
Lincoln Mayor Tracy Welch
was also on hand for the event, but had to leave early
for another engagement at the Railsplitting Festival.
Read more about the coffee held at Guesthouse as well as
