at 5 p.m. Monday September 18, 2023, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital, in Lincoln.

Obituary
Thomas E. Polk Jr., 73, of Mt.
Pulaski, passed away at 5 p.m. Monday September 18,
2023, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, in
Lincoln.
Tom was born on July 26, 1950, in Pana, to Thomas E.
and Olivia O’Leary Polk Sr. He married Marjorie
Goodman on July 3, 1971, in Mt. Pulaski. She
preceded him in death on January 28, 2023.
Surviving is one daughter, Christina Polk of Mt.
Pulaski, two brothers, Tim (Lou Ann) Polk of Mt.
Pulaski, and Terry (Diane) Polk of Texas; four
grandchildren, Ashley Polk, Austin Waldrop, Olivia
Waldrop, and Charles Polk.
He was preceded in death by his
parents, wife, and one son, Thomas E. Polk III. |
Tom was a guard and retired from the
Illinois Department of Corrections. He loved
spending time with his grandchildren.
There will be no services at this time.
Memorials may be made to the family of Thomas Polk
Jr.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mt. Pulaski
are entrusted with services.
