[February 06, 2024]  LINCOLN -  Patsy Eileen (Joplin) Barackman, 81, of Lincoln, passed away February 4, 2024, at St. Clara’s Manor surrounded by her family.

Visitation: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home

Service: 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home

Obituary

Patsy Eileen (Joplin) Barackman, 81, of Lincoln, passed away February 4, 2024, at St. Clara’s Manor surrounded by her family.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Nick Hardy officiating. Burial will be at 11 AM Friday, February 9, 2024, at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.

Patsy was born May 5, 1942, in Greenville, IL., the daughter of Desber Deniel Joplin and Kathleen (Andrews) Joplin. She married Gary Barackman on February 21, 1960, in Keyesport, IL. She was a homemaker for many years, she was a CNA and worked in a factory for a time. She enjoyed crochet, was a gifted seamstress, and enjoyed painting.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Barackman; children: Randy Scott Barackman, Marie Ann (Patrick) Nugent, Matthew Leroy (Brandy) Barackman; grandchildren: Amber Wilson(Jeremy Duffer), Lucas (Ally) Nugent, and Margaret Barackman; great grandchildren: Levi, Stacia, Joseph, Wednesday, and Jensen; and brothers John D. Joplin, Gary Dean Joplin, and Eldon R. Joplin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Connie Rice.

Memorial donations may be made to Castle Manor and will be accepted at the funeral home.
