- Judith Ann Galloway-Scanlon, 81, of Lincoln, passed
away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Obituary
Judith Ann Galloway-Scanlon, 81, of
Lincoln, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024,
surrounded by her loving family.
Judith was born January 29, 1942, in Benton, the
daughter of Marie (Williams) Allen and Earnest
Allen. She married Joseph P. Scanlon in 1974. He
preceded her in death in 1993.
Judith is survived by her children, Gina Shelby,
Bill Shelby, and Patti Scanlon; grandchildren,
Danelle Clutter, Sarah Shelby (Darren Williams), and
Brian Kenshol; and her great-grandchildren, Makinley
and Jaklyn Knapp.

Judith attended St. Luke’s School of
Nursing in St. Louis, becoming a registered nurse.
She worked for many years on the farm at Lincoln
Developmental Center and Lincoln College. Judith
lived for speaking her mind and spending time with
family.
A celebration of Judith’s life will be held at a
later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
made to Gentiva Hospice. Cremation rites have been
entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home,
Mt. Pulaski.
