On Thursday evening,
Representative Bill Hauter (right) and Senator Sally
Turner (left) were among those who spoke at a rally
on the lawn of the Logan County Courthouse prior to
marching from the courthouse to Lincoln Junior High
School were the advertised CoGFA Public Hearing
would take place. The subject of the rally and the
hearing was the future of Logan Correctional Center,
a state run women’s prison in danger of being shut
down.
At the hearing, Turner and Hauter
were in one of several panels that came before the
Commission on Government Forecasting and
Accountability. Also speaking on that same panel was
Logan County Board Member Dale Nelson (third from
right).
