At the Tuesday evening Committee
of the Whole meeting of the Lincoln City Council,
Cale West of PRYNT Digital presented a request for
street closures downtown on July 27th for the
Mustang 60th with Ford Motor Company car show.
He told the council he has reached out to several
car clubs across the country and has received
interest from car owners as far away as Texas. He
says he currently has about 60 car owners who have
expressed interest in attending, and he is hoping
for a 200-car car show.
He is also working with the Railsplitter Antique
Auto Club in Lincoln for the show. That car club
will have their cars and coffee that same morning
downtown. The streets to be closed will be the 100
block of Kickapoo Street, Pulaski Street from
Kickapoo to North Hamilton, and one half of North
Hamilton, ending in front of the PRYNT Digital shop.
The show will include cooperative efforts with local
eateries around the square including Guest House
Coffee and others. He is also looking at food trucks
in the mix and said that Ford Motor Co. is going to
be offering a photo booth.
Look to Lincoln Daily News for more details as they
become available.
