PARADE OF CHAMPIONS FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2024 2:30 P.M.

This has been a great 2024 for schools in Lincoln, especially in the area of athletics. To celebrate those who have shone in the spotlight of local, regional, and state tournaments, Lincoln Mayor Tracy Welch on behalf of the city of Lincoln is announcing a special Parade of Champions to be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. in downtown Lincoln.

The parade route will be the same as that of the annual Christmas Parade, from Wyatt Avenue, north on Kickapoo to Pulaski where it will turn east and proceed to McLean Street. Moving north on McLean, the parade will then turn west onto Broadway where it will proceed to the intersection of Broadway and Chicago Streets (Lincoln Depot area) and disperse.

All championship teams from all Lincoln schools including of course, the Lincoln Community High School Lady Railers, have been invited to participate.

Please mark your calendars and plan on coming out and showing your love and appreciation to these fine students.

As a preamble to the tourist season, the American Giants Museum in Atlanta is going to be open on Saturdays throughout March. The museum will then be open regular hours starting in April on Tuesday through Sunday.

The Museum is also anticipating the arrival of two new giants this summer and a grand opening event Memorial Day weekend.
