Lincoln Daily News
welcomes letters of appreciation, information and
opinion on matters pertaining to the community.
Controversial issues:
As a
community we need to be able to talk openly about
matters that affect the quality of our lives. The
most effective and least offensive manner to get
your point across is to stick to the issue
and refrain from commenting on another person's
opinion. Letters that deviate from focusing on the
issue may be rejected or edited and marked as such.

To the editor:
Lincoln Woman’s Club would like to thank the people
of Lincoln, Logan County and surrounding counties for supporting us
in our pulled pork fundraiser that was held on October 23 at Peggy’s
Place by Hilary.
Because of all of you, we were able to provide
meals to the following First Responders: Lincoln Police, Logan
County Paramedics, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Emergency
Department, Logan County Sheriffs Department, Lincoln Fire, Lincoln
Rural Fire and The National Weather Service.
We were able to donate 61 meals because of your generosity. Some of
our members also provided meals for a group home in Lincoln and also
to the Salvation Army. The money we raised will help fund projects
for our community.
Our President Jan Bicknell, along with Carol Mills, who co-chaired
this event, extend our sincere thanks for supporting us.

We would also like to thank everyone who sold
tickets, and who worked at Peggy’s Place.
We would also like to especially thank Hilary at
Peggy’s Place by Hilary for joining us in this endeavor.
