Today, the pink shirt picture to raise awareness for breast cancer is made up of the board members of the Logan County Genealogical & Historical Society.

LDN chose this photo for today to tie into the Paint the Paper Pink Special Feature article. The LCG&HS is the keeper of our history, but they are also the ones we can turn to when we are researching a specific moment in time in Logan County, or tracing our family roots. They will help us do the research on practically any topic relating to Logan County.

Today our feature article is about research that is funded by the American Cancer Society. The research relates to identifying triggers in the genetic BRCA1 breast cancer. Down the road, this research may tell scientists and physicians how to better treat the cancer, or even prevent it.

This is just one of the many reasons why supporting the American Cancer Society is important to all of us. What we can learn now, may someday save our child or grandchild, thus also preserving our history and our heritage.
