At the Monday,
April 7th Regular meeting of the Lincoln City
Council aldermen by unanimous consent approved Mayor
Tracy Welch’s choice of Stan Anderson to served as
Ward 4 alderman.
Anderson will replace Craig Eimer who resigned in
early March. The term Anderson is filling will
expire in 2027. At that time, he may choose to run
for election for the same seat on the council.
At the last committee of the whole meeting, Welch
said that eight people had submitted requests to be
considered for the seat. Three had been disqualified
due to residency requirement. Welch had sought the
assistance of an aldermanic committee to review the
remaining requests and assist him in choosing the
person best suited to fill the seat.
Anderson was sworn into office immediately following
the vote of confidence by Lincoln City Attorney John
Hoblit.
