Today, Friday October 10th, the pink shirt pictures in Lincoln Daily News feature our friends at all four of the First National Bank of Tremont branches.

All the staff at the Hopedale, Lincoln, New Holland and Tremont branches spend their days working with numbers. These are all local people, taking care of the needs of their friends and neighbors from checking to savings to loans and more.

Speaking of numbers, when we support the American Cancer Society the numbers become important to us as well. We want to know where all the dollars are going that we collect on their behalf.

Here are a few numbers that we think will be important to you.

In 2024 the American Cancer Society provided $450,000,000 in research grants to battle cancer around the world. There was $257,000 provided in patient services to 15 local hospitals and health care systems in central Illinois.

In Logan County in 2024 108 and in 2025 thus far 55 overnight stays have been provided through the ACS Hope Lodge system, totaling approximately $24,000 in savings to warriors and their families.

Eight Logan County warriors reached out to cancer.org for phone and video chats about their diagnoses and treatment. An additional 131 services were provided in Logan County including information and referrals and ACS programs such as ACS Reach, ACS CARES, Ever You/Wig programs and more.

When you support ACS, you are supporting local warriors.
