Lincoln Mayor Tracy Welch made the final decision on traffic flow on North Elm Street Tuesday night when the aldermanic vote ended in a tie. Welch voted to maintain an ordinance passed several months ago making North Elm Street between Eighth and Tenth Streets one-way going north toward Woodlawn, and reducing speeds to 20 mph from Eighth to Tenth and 25 mph from Tenth to Woodlawn.

The Logan County Board selected a new chairman and vice chairman Tuesday, September 8. Lance Conahan, pictured right, is the new chairman, and Joseph Kuhlman, left, is the new vice chairman.

Trump honors 9/11 victims at the Ellipse, pledging to 'never forget'

On Labor Day, many people were strolling downtown Atlanta and visiting the American Giants Museum and shops. One artifact recently added to the museum is Boo Boo Bear, Yogi Bear’s sidekick. The American Giants Museum, which looks like an old Texaco gas station, was designed and developed as a partnership between American Giants founder Joel Baker and the Atlanta Betterment Fund. In October 2025, Lee Woods of Giants Garage in Hot Spring, Arkansas purchased the museum from the Atlanta Betterment Fund and added new exhibits. Woods said more exhibits will be added in upcoming months.
