2016 LOGAN COUNTY FAIR

LINCOLN DAILY NEWS July 29 - August 6, 2016

By Angela Reiner

The 2016 Logan County Fair held from

Sunday, July 31 through Sunday, August 7, is

full of activities for the whole family and those

young and old alike.

In addition to viewing live competitions and

competitor displays, the fair also features a

variety of daily entertainment.

Headlining the Grandstand shows this year

is rising star Eric Paslay, and special guests,

Waterloo Revival. Their performance will be

on

Saturday, August 6 at 7:30 p.m.

Eric Paslay is a country singer and songwriter

with several hits to his name. Paslay is

described as “Sometimes playful, often

poignant and always thoroughly entertaining,”

a performer who, “has quickly earned a

reputation as an artist that knows how to

capture the attention of an audience and hold

them in the palm of his hands.”

Paslay is “a renowned, Platinum-selling, hit

songwriter and dynamic performer.” He has

celebrated five No. 1 hits including “Even

If It Breaks Your Heart” (Eli Young Band),

“Barefoot Blue Jean Night” (Jake Owen),

“Angel Eyes” (Love & Theft), “Rewind”

(Rascal Flatts) and “FridayNight,” the smash

lead single from his critically acclaimed self-

titled debut album.

In 2015, Waterloo Revival released their first

two radio singles “Hit the Road” and “Bad for

You.” Bandmates Cody Cooper and George

Birge met in middle school, began writing

songs together, and continue to “play together

through high school.”

Both pursued their educations and began their

careers, but in 2012, decided to focus on a

music career.

By 2012, their musical chemistry was

undeniable and George made the hard sell,

convincing Cody to leave his 9-to-5 and

return home in order for them to focus all their

energy into music. Waterloo Revival was soon

born, taking its moniker from their beloved

hometown.

Tickets for the concert are $25.00 and may be

purchased online or at the fair office.
