On Saturday night, a large number of Lincoln Community High School prom-
goers began their evening by participating in the 27th annual LCHS Prom
Grand March.
The Grand March is typically held on the lawn of the Logan County
Courthouse, but this year rainy weather chased the prom goers indoors to the
Roy S. Anderson Gymnasium at LCHS.
Following the theme of Mardi Gras, young people
were dressed to the nines with the women in
beautiful glitzy gowns and the young men looking
very gallant.
On the sidelines, the bleachers of the gym were
filled to the rafters with parents, grandparents,
siblings, relatives and friends, there to drink in the
special moment. Seeing their “babies” in grown-
up attire and realizing that their children were
on the brink of adulthood, may have been a little
overwhelming for some.
