Edith Armbrust

Edith M. Armbrust, 90, formerly of Lincoln, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2001, at the home of her son in Pleasant Hill.

Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Larry Maffett officiating.

Burial will be in the new Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Armbrust worked in the dietary departments at Lincoln College and Lincoln Developmental Center for 17 years before retiring in 1985.

She was born March 10, 1911, in Logan County to Alfred and Elizabeth Shaw Levi. She married William F. Armbrust on July 28, 1930, in Edwardsville. He died Aug. 15, 1966.

Surviving are two sons, William J. Armbrust of Bloomington and Thomas E. Armbrust of Pleasant Hill; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Fernola Levi and Elouise Smith.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to her church.
