Will you be wearing RED this Friday?

[APRIL 16, 2003]  A grass-roots effort to show support for our troops is sweeping the county. The message is mostly being spread by e-mail. It is such a good idea, and knowing the great passion that Logan County holds for our men and women serving to protect us, LDN decided we would help make sure you heard about it too

In summary, quite a few Americans support our troops, but as usual many feel like the silent majority. Starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, the call is issued that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women should wear something red. This is not an organized effort to reflect the opinions of any group. The idea is not to stand on street corners once or twice, not to carry signs in a rally. It's not anything flashy. It's simply showing our solidarity and support for our troops.

On any given Friday we can make the United States a sea of red. It will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED. Lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.
