LCHS speech team results at Naperville     Send a link to a friend

[DEC. 15, 2003]  The Lincoln Community High School speech team competed at the 27-team Naperville Central Tournament of Roses and finished sixth in the toughest competition they have seen this year.

Lincoln advanced five events to the finals, with Audrey Beach finishing third in oratory, Doug Rohrer and Lindsey Boerma fourth in humorous duet acting; Kathryn Muck fifth in dramatic interpretation, Rachel Kasa fifth in prose reading, and Brady Gerdts and Brittany Feese in a tie for sixth in dramatic duet acting.

Coach Ed Jodlowski said: "We had a great weekend. While only five of our events placed, we had a large number of kids who were a rank or two away from the final round. Points were assigned based on preliminary scores, and our sixth place finish was only four points from fifth place. The kids worked hard this week and their hard work paid off."

The team will compete Saturday at the Olympia Christmas Classic.
