Misses Lincoln, a wonderful place to live

To the editor:

My name is Susie Strong. I ... lived in Lincoln, Ill., for many years. However, I had to move out of state. Now I live in Arkansas. I thought I would never get to receive the news from there any more, until I found you guys on the Web. I can't tell you how much I am thankful for finding this website. Now I can keep up with the news as if I was still there.

Lincoln, Ill., is such a wonderful place to live and a pretty one too.

When I first moved to Lincoln, back in 1987, I knew no one there. I … went to a church meeting there, and right off I knew that's where I wanted to live. There were so many friendly people there. So my family and I moved there. I never regretted one day of living there.

[to top of second column in this letter]

People have told me I'm nuts for wanting to live there, but I thought they don't know a good thing when they see it; for Lincoln, Ill., is a great place to live and to raise a family.

My two children grew up in Lincoln, Ill. Both are doing great today.

So I'm really glad you have put this newspaper on the Web. This way I can keep up with what goes on there.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Susie Strong
