[NOV. 26, 2003]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Holiday hours

The Oasis will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. There will be no Friday night games. Sunday games are scheduled for 6 p.m., and regularly scheduled activities will resume Monday at 9 a.m.

Dec. 4 chili supper

Circle Dec. 4 on your calendar and come in early before the Christmas parade for the chili and vegetable soup meal, starting at 3 p.m. Chili or vegetable soup, drink, and homemade dessert will be available for a $4 donation.

This would also be a good time to start your Christmas shopping in our gift shop. There are beautiful items just ready for wrapping.
