FFA fund-raiser coming up          Send a link to a friend

To the editor:

The 2003 Illinois Foundation FFA drive is under way, according to Vickie Huelskoetter and Karen Peddicord, Lincoln FFA chapter sponsoring committee chairmen. The Illinois Foundation FFA provides an avenue for businesses and interested individuals to provide financial support for the Illinois Association FFA and to encourage agriculture education students to do their best by recognizing them for their accomplishments in agriculture and personal development. Over 2,000 FFA members benefit each year from incentive awards provided by the Illinois Foundation FFA.

Helping with the local collection drive is Lincoln FFA's chapter reporter Jodi Kinnamon. She will be contacting area businesses and individuals concerning support for the Illinois Foundation FFA. Anyone wanting to support the foundation or wanting more information should contact Kelly Burden at Lincoln Community High School,
1 (217) 732-4131, ext. 298 Local foundation representatives are volunteers who give freely of their time to ensure the success of the annual collection drive.

Jodi Kinnamon

Lincoln FFA reporter
