EMDEN -- Steven L. Westen, 54,
of Emden, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at 10:05 p.m. at St.
John's Hospice in Springfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7
p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m.
Thursday at Zion United Methodist Church in Emden, with Pastor
Dayle Eldredge officiating.
Burial will be in Hartsburg
Union Cemetery, Hartsburg.
Mr. Westen was a self-employed
carpenter in Emden and in Naples, Fla.
He was born Dec. 25, 1950, in
Lincoln.
He is survived by his mother,
Irene A. Westen of Emden; two uncles and aunts, Eldon and Anna
Westen of Emden and Loren and Shirley Westen of Emden; and
many cousins.
He was preceded in death by
his grandparents.
Memorials may be made to Emden
Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society.

LINCOLN -- Vivian K. Harris,
64, of Lincoln died Monday, April 4, 2005, at 12:01 p.m. at
her son’s home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7
p.m. Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Thursday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, with Jacob Skelton
officiating.
Burial will be in Irish Grove
Cemetery, Middletown.
Mrs. Harris retired from Myers
Industries in Lincoln, where she was a laminate cutter.
She was born Aug. 24, 1940, in
Lincoln to Lewis Merle and Kathryn E. Banister Voyles She
married Rolie Conway Harris in Lincoln on June 4, 1959. He
died July 24, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her
father.
She is survived by her mother,
of Lincoln; two sons, Ronald "Joe" (and Cindy) Harris of
Lincoln and Terry Harris of Ina; four daughters, Rhonda
Mattingly, Darla (and Mark) Musick, Vicki Harris and Valerie
Harris, all of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; one brother, Merle "Abe" Voyles of
Lincoln; and one sister, Ruby (and Harold) Swinford of
Hartsburg.
She was a member of Carpenters
Local 644.

Hospice Care of Illinois.

MASON CITY -- Florence L.
Voyles, 86, of Mason City died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at 12:32
a.m. in Springfield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7
p.m. Tuesday at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln. Her
funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holland and Barry,
with the Rev. James Childs officiating.
Burial will be in Keys
Cemetery, Beason.
Mrs. Voyles was a homemaker
for her family.
She was born Sept. 8, 1918, in
Lincoln to Roscoe and Hulda Wilkie Jones. She married Wayne
Voyles on Aug. 8, 1940, in Missouri. He died Jan. 5, 1991.
She is survived by one son,
Edwin (and Deanna) Voyles of Beason; one daughter, Jane (and
Norman) Bruce of Mason City; five grandchildren, Brian Voyles
of Beason, Lori Birnbaum of Lincoln, Jodi Stone of Mason City,
Kristi Johnson of Mason City and Rob Bruce of Mason City;
seven great-grandchildren, Haylie and Alison Stone of Mason
City, Elli, Lane and Kolbi Johnson of Mason City, and Avery
and Samuel Birnbaum of Lincoln; and one sister, Ruth Guy of
Lincoln.
She was also preceded in death
by two sisters and one brother.
She was a member of Christ
Lutheran Church in Mason City, to which memorials may be made.
