[APRIL 19, 2005]
Lincoln's Brian
Cook is trying to end his second NBA season on a personal high note
even though his Lakers will be missing the playoffs. Cook erupted
last night for 19 points in 20 minutes of action, going 8-for-14
from the field, including 2-of-5 from 3-point land, but it wasn't
enough as LA was drilled by the Golden State Warriors 126-99. He
also hauled down five rebounds and made the only free throw shot
that he attempted.
|
His scoring outburst was second on the
team to Kobe Bryant's 22 points, though Kobe took 27 shots, 13 more
than Cook, to register one more basket.
When Cook has received the minutes this
season he has been quite productive.
The Lakers have only one game
remaining before this disappointing season comes to an end with a
game at Portland Wednesday night scheduled as the season finale.
