Response to Bruns
letter posted Nov. 29: To the editor:
Mr. Bruns, you are wrong. I do not know of anyone working at
Wal-Mart who makes minimum wage, and most of Sysco's employees will
come from out of town, not Lincoln. I heard they have had job fairs
in other cities, but they have not had one in Lincoln.
As to your comment about insurance, Wal-Mart offers many
different options to associates to choose from, and if we ever wind
up paying more than is needed in a year, Wal-Mart gives it back to
us by not taking it out of one of our checks. How many other
companies do you know that will do that? Most would keep and put it
toward the next year and not even tell their people about it.
