Not good to turn down businesses          Send a link to a friend

Response to a letter posted Dec. 5:

To the editor:

I believe that Economic Development [Lincoln and Logan County Development Partnership] has been working very hard at bringing new business to Lincoln. However, it seems the residents of Lincoln have not been happy with the choices and do everything they can to keep them out of Lincoln. For example, the ethanol plant for one. What competition would this bring?

I believe there will always be discontent when someone feels threatened. I personally would like to see Lincoln grow economically. If we keep turning down businesses, soon no one will want to come here.
