Flower and garden show combines 'A Golden Celebration' with children's benefit          Send a link to a friend

[FEB. 26, 2005]  SPRINGFIELD -- Green View, 3000 W. Jefferson Ave., will host its eighth annual Flower & Garden Show, "A Golden Celebration," celebrating Green View's 50th anniversary and benefiting Children's Miracle Network. The show will be open March 11-20, with hours Monday through Saturday 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

The event is open to the public. The show will include beautiful live theme gardens inspired by Green View's 50th anniversary, enclosed in a climate-controlled environment. Of interest within the show are 2005 plant introductions, the latest garden products and informative garden symposiums by well-known garden professionals.

The event will benefit the Children's Miracle Network with a $2 suggested donation collected at the entrance of the gardens.

Green View has five retail centers statewide, in the Dunlap-Peoria, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Oswego-Naperville and Springfield areas.
