Home health supervisor receives Home Care Director of the Year award      

[FEB. 28, 2005]  Betty Larson, the home health supervisor for Home Care of Central Illinois, a division of the Logan County Health Department, recently received the Home Care Director of the Year award from Home Care Across Illinois. Larson was honored for leading the agency in the development and implementation of continuous quality improvement measures.

Home Care of Central Illinois was one of the first home health agencies in Illinois to implement such measures, and as a result of Larson's efforts the agency received an Excellence of Protocol Award from the Illinois Foundation for Quality Health Care.

Larson was honored at the Home Care Across Illinois annual conference in Springfield on Nov. 19, 2004. The HCAI is an association of home care agencies in Illinois that are affiliated with local health departments.
