splits doubleheader with Lindenwood

ST. CHARLES, Mo.
-- Lincoln College split a baseball doubleheader here Thursday
afternoon, defeating Lindenwood 7-4 in the second game. Lindenwood
won the first game by a 10-5 score. The Lynx are now 1-3 and will
next be in action on the spring trip to Alabama.

Max McCorvie hurled three shutout
innings, striking out two and walking four, while allowing no hits
in the second game for LC coach Tony Thomas. Nick Kidwell earned the
victory with two innings and was followed to the mound by Kyle Bruce
and Colton McClellan. McClellan earned the save with two strikeouts
in his one inning of work.
Tyler Cassen, a Williamsville grad, led the Lynx offense with three
hits, including a triple and double, and two runs scored. Jake Jones
had a pair of hits for the Lynx, and Brad Hall, Jason Williams and
Andy Bakhaus each had one hit. Hall scored a pair of runs and had an
RBI while Williams had a double and two RBIs.
In the first game, Ryan Driskill
took the loss for the Lynx, giving up seven hits and eight earned
runs in 3 2/3 innings. Adam York led the Lynx at the plate with
three hits in four trips, a triple and two runs scored. Collecting
one hit each were Hall, Jones and Nick Meredeth.
