[MARCH 14, 2005]  James Roberson, who played basketball for Lincoln College two seasons, has been named one of 18 finalists for the Jimmy V Comeback of the Year Award. Roberson played for Bemidji State and earned first-team all-conference in the Northern Sun league this season.

Lincoln College coach B.J. McCullum stated: "James was the Northern Sun Newcomer of the Year last season. However, in the spring he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was removed and found to be nonmalignant in May. Doctors told him he couldn't play basketball. He did return to the team and helped lead his team to second place in the Northern Sun Conference.

"We are very proud of our association with James and hope for his continued good health and good fortune. He is an outstanding young man."
